Lakeside Cellars is a 14-acre estate on the eastern shore of Lake Osoyoos. It rests on what used to be the Haynes Homestead. Unable to save the existing structure, new owners Harbans and Harkesh Dhaliwal used parts of the historic estate when building their new tasting room in 2016.
This Cabernet comes from 20+year-old vines and was matured in American oak for 24 months.
Aromas of black currents and molasses, cocoa nibs and balsamic, brown spices and braised cherries lead to a palate of mature fruit, leather, tealeaf, cocoa, dried cherries, bacon fat and toasted spice. It maintains freshness wrapped in a blanket of tertiary flavours.
